I think I can now say that I am one of those people that every time I start a job I am 100% committed. Doesn’t matter what it would be I will always give the best of me and I will put a lot of heart and effort to it. Working as a Houseman gave me an insight into most simple yet one of the most important insights into hotel operations. Cleanliness… you can say anything you want but I do believe this is the most important aspect of every Hotel success. As Houseman I was doing my set rounds around the hotel with my little basket making sure all windows and mirrors are clean all garbage bins emptied, every ash tray has a perfectly pressed “S” logo in the sand. Public restrooms smell and look fresh, pointy toilets papers and tissues was always “housekeeping” signature that we have been here and we took a good care of the space. My other “thing” was always the storage areas… I can’t remember how many times I took liberty and changed and move thing around… If you heard room attendant screaming it would be; “Lukasz you moved everything around… again…”. Definitely it wasn’t anything bad, I just couldn’t help myself to work on storages until they make sense and are logical and easy for everyone to use, and I can’t stop until it’s as close to perfection as it could be. The biggest satisfaction was always when you walk around the Hotel and everything looked and felt perfect, it was a reward itself…
Loved it!
